  • Listed among the Best of 2013 (Gay Vancouver), Kayak was a hit at the rEvolver festival. It was then picked up for presentation at the Firehall Arts Centre for a larger audience to enjoy. BMW-driving, bleached-blond Annie Iverson teeters alone in a kayak on a vast stretch of water. Having set out to save her son from the dangers of his radical environmentalist girlfriend, she unwittingly throws herself into a path of events larger than she could ever have imagined. Catapulted through a storm of memories, Annie struggles to cling to what’s “right” in her ever-shrinking world.  In a time when green is the new black, Kayak is a witty, provocative and deeply personal perspective on the global environmental crisis.
"Smart, funny, political: if this play were a guy, I’d date him."

    • "Hall has achieved here what many writers with a passion for the environment can only hope for: a genuine, entertaining and emotional trip across sometimes rough seas that won’t drown you with its cautionary tale."
